The goal of this work package is to provide for administration of the project and for administrative fulfilment of the contract obligations towards the EC. The WP will provide overall co-ordination and management of all project activities, including planning, monitoring progress of work, quality assurance and control of the project deliverables, trouble-shooting and conflict resolution, financial and budgetary control, reporting and communications with the Commission. 

Management structure

Overall coordination and management will be provided by the project coordinator who will be supported by Project Management Office (PMO). PMO comprises a secretariat with Project Manager. Principal investigators from the participating institutions will form a Project Executive Board (PEB) for the project. 

Coordination and management is undertaken at the following levels:
• At the administrative level, by the PEB
• At the scientific level, by the work package leaders 

In addition, an external Project Advisory Group consisting of coordinators/representatives of ongoing FP6 projects focused on development of alternatives to in vivo tests, will provide advice on strategic and scientifically relevant issues
